After a lengthy sabbatical, Cheick Hamala Diabate – Bossa’s griot-in-residence – is back!

Cheick journeyed to his homeland of Mali for a handful of months to tend to family affairs. Though we’re certain this brutal DC winter wasn’t quite what he had bargained for upon return, we’re thrilled that he’s back and ready to re-up his Tuesday night concerts with Griot Street.

Cheick Hamala Diabate is a celebrated musician who, with his trusty n’goni and a sublime assortment of backing musicians and vocalists, is an infectious performer and storyteller.
