Jacque Ryal is a New York–based indie-pop artist, songwriter, and producer creating emotionally charged electronic pop centered on women’s stories, women’s voices, and emotional truth.
Formerly of indie band Strip Darling and synth-pop duo RYAL, she now steps fully into the producer’s chair, architecting a sonic world of sculpted vocals, dark-glow synths, and body-moving bass lines.
Jacque’s solo work lives in the tension between grit and gloss, devotional and defiant, blending intimate songwriting with immersive production. Rooted in transformation and reinvention, her music channels desire, vulnerability, and lived female experience into modern pop built for both headphones and dancing/scream-singing in one’s car.
Kalen leapt headfirst into early aughts Brooklyn – a vibrant music scene blooming in derelict DIY venues and undisclosed loft parties off the L train. With her “feet on the ground and her head in the sky,” this New England native hauled her keyboard and amp up and down Bedford Ave., forging a sound rooted in soul, funk, and electronic music.
During residencies at Alligator Lounge and Spike Hill, Kalen became a neighborhood mainstay, performing high-kicks and jumping off amps in kinetic kinship with the audience.
