Early Show! Barbara + Marco feat. Johanna Moffitt | Dunia & Aram

Barbara + Marco explore the organic mix of electronica, trip hop, and downtempo with a trippy guitar, dreamy vocals, and ’70s synths.

Barbara Gogan, Irish-born musician, singer/guitarist of the English post-punk new wave band The Passions, has lived and worked in London, New York, and Paris, where she collaborated with Hector Zazou. She traveled widely in Russia in the early ’90s and collaborated with electronics composer Sasha Pantykin. She now resides in rural Pennsylvania, where she is the resident composer for the acrobatic dance troupe Lava.

Marco Dianese is a New York–based Italian-born producer, visual artist, DJ, promoter, and musician. Some of Marco’s projects are Spooky and the Bear, Bear Make Noise, and a radio show called Spring Street Insomnia on Radio Sherwood.

Dunia & Aram’s musical partnership spans decades and genres, from Dunia’s seminal ska punk band Agent 99, to their reggae soul project Dubistry and pioneering neo-soul group Brave New Girl. The duo has collaborated with Grammy winners and luminaries of all backgrounds. Their current project is indie ska and soul with elements of jazz, punk, and reggae.
