Early Show! Colombian Fusion: DeSanguashington

DC-based DeSanguashington (Day-San-gwa-sheen-ton) is a Colombian-American band that fuses traditional Colombian folk music with more modern/popular genres like rock, pop, and urban rhythms.

Featuring Velu Ochoa (vox); Danny Ramirez (accordion); Richard Benjumea (guitar); Gunnar PY (bass); and Hugo Moreno, Diego Castañeda, Hermanzo Moreno, and Jaime Barreto (percussion).

The group has emerged as one of the premier world music bands in the DMV, recognized and beloved by the Latino community and those who enjoy international music.
