The George Crotty Trio makes multicultural chamber music that is both cinematic and conversational. They draw on influences within jazz and global music traditions, using the language of other cultures to speak new things.

Their third studio album, Heart Music, is a transatlantic travelogue—capturing creative encounters in cities like Copenhagen, Delft, Berlin, Toronto, and Brooklyn—and drawing inspiration from European jazz, Hindustani raga, and chamber music, with Crotty’s compositions illuminated by the trio’s dynamic interplay. Featuring John Murchson (bass) and Jeremy Smith (percussion), the record unfolds as an eight-part suite, each movement telling its own story.
