Early Show! Jack Waugh’s Americanaland

DC-based jazz guitarist and Towson University professor Jack Waugh recently debuted his new americana-jazz fusion trio project, Jack Waugh’s Americanaland.

Through his unique compositions and improvisational style, Waugh strives to balance exploration of uncharted sonic territory with honest, uncompromised emotion. He believes that studying an array of genres is key to achieving this. Modern jazz, rock, Americana, classical, bluegrass, blues, and pop can all be heard in his individual and ever-changing auditory landscape. For Waugh, his guitar and his voice make up the bridge that connects and transports emotion to the audience.
