Early Show! Lyuti Chushki: Bulgarian Music

Lyuti Chushki means “hot peppers” in Bulgarian. Based in DC, they have been playing for weddings, concerts, festivals, dance parties, and feasts throughout the eastern U.S. since 1997. They play traditional Bulgarian instruments in modes and rhythms of ancient provenance with vocal stylings now world-renowned.

Lyuti Chushki are Valeri Georgiev (kaval (end-blown flute)), Boril Peychinov (accordion), and Bryndyn Weiner (tupan (big drum)) with guest singers Trayana Stankova and Kathryn Mitchell.

Patrons, please note that proof of vaccination is required for entry.
